It’s sad how political polarization and extremism on both sides are making it harder to have honest conversations or build coalitions for peace. The silence from some political figures only worsens the problem by signaling that some lives or viewpoints are less worthy of defense.

We need leaders who unequivocally condemn violence and antisemitism, even as they stand for Palestinian rights. Otherwise, the space is left open for extremists to hijack the narrative, and ordinary people suffer the consequences.

Happy June, John.......

Yes, you said it perfectly. It’s hard to have a good faith discussion when extremism on both sides dominates the narratives. Hope you have a good start to June, Neela!

I read a bit about what happened over the weekend, and it seems like there’s been a lot of violence lately showing up on my Google feed. It’s really disheartening, and honestly, I’m afraid it’s only going to get worse 😞

It will and it is affecting a few immigration cases for that new contract I started. This administration paints everyone with a broad brush and unfortunately there are a few students here on student visas who will be removed because of what happened this past weekend.

We live in such a mucked up world Bette :(
