When I was working in corporate life, the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas were some of the busiest. Everyone tried to jam in work before year end. Much of it had been placed on the back-burner, a favorite procrastination zone, for the prior 11 months.
What have you been waiting to get done?
We all have something. It’s impossible to prioritize everything, especially if you have kids.
I plan to write and create more videos about my 2022 adventures. I want to celebrate the moments and memories. Before they are lost to time.
I also plan to reach my goal of 24 books read in 2022. I’m currently sitting at 20. Can I do it?
Here’s a review of my favorite book so far from this year.
Speaking of books…
I published Chapter 1 of Tough, which I announced was (finally) available last week. I’ll be publishing one chapter a week if you’d prefer to read it on Medium. Otherwise, you can purchase the entire book here.
If you’re interested in the issue of student loans and want a take not often heard in the mainstream media, here’s an article I wrote a few months back. It inspired some good feedback from readers. I’m always interested in your thoughts, especially given that the Biden administration recently announced it would be extending its moratorium on student loan payments.
The final push for family and friends
In the next month, whatever your year end goals may be, I hope family and friends fit into them. If not, make them fit. Life is nothing without other people who love you to join in for the ride.
My family met in Cannon Beach, Oregon this past week for Thanksgiving. The ocean was mostly stormy, but offered moments of solace, peace, and comfort.
I made a short video highlighting our Oregon experience. Make sure to subscribe to the Bon Vivant channel so you don’t miss the full length version that drops this week.
I hope everyone has a good week. Don’t lose sight of what’s truly important while making that final push to year end.
